The Trust is a registered charity that provides spaces for local groups and clubs to meet for recreation and sports.

History

Hillstown Miners' Welfare Trust.

Originally set up by the miners to support the welfare of workers in the local community.

1924

A regular subscription was collected from the local miners and eventually, a suitable plot of land at Hillstown was purchased.

A miners’ welfare club was built and the remaining land was used as a  recreation/sports field.
