Job vacancy: Caretaker
We are looking to appoint a friendly, energetic, and reliable individual for the role of Caretaker to join our team and contribute to the smooth running of the village hall.
The successful applicants will have a range of duties across the site and should be self-motivated, dependable and trustworthy, and able to work under their own initiative to prioritise workloads.
Responsibilities include looking after the security of the building and preparing the hall for bookings.
Working alongside the Village Hall Manager, the caretaker will need to be available to attend the hall at irregular hours to help with the overall running of the facilities.
The post is permanent and subject to a period of successful probation. The hours worked will be flexible and consistent with the day-to-day use of the hall and each position will be around 7 to 10 hours per week. We are looking for a successful candidate to start as soon as possible. Starting rate of pay £12 per hr.

Job vacancy: Community Facilities Manager
Hillstown Miners Welfare Trust has an exciting opportunity for a Community Facilities Manager to join their small but friendly team.
Location: Hillstown, Bolsover
Job Type: 2 year fixed contract
Salary: £26,000 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Normally Monday to Friday 9.00am – 5.00pm however some flexibility will be required as occasional evening and weekend work may be necessary at times.)
Job sharing may be considered for the right candidates.
We are looking to appoint someone who is proactive, self-motivated, able to communicate well with others, can prioritise a varied workload, be an ambassador for the charity and be dedicated to providing support to both our visitors and our volunteers.

Job Description
Purpose of the post
Day to day management of the Hillstown Village Hall and additional facilities
Main Duties
Respond to all enquiries in a professional and timely manner
Search and apply for funding on an ongoing basis
Promote the Village Hall by developing innovative methods of advertising i.e. newsletter, social media etc
Make the necessary local contacts to attract new activities to the Village Hall
Develop new projects
Regularly meet and engage with the user groups, offering support where and when required.
Actively research local opinions, needs and how best to serve the community
Organise Open Days and Community Activities to showcase Village Hall facilities
Actively work towards Improving the overall energy efficiency of our facilities to reduce our carbon footprint
Attract and encourage new Trustees and volunteers
Manage the duties and responsibilities of all volunteers
Keep policies and procedures up to date
Create invoices for all hirers and other general administrative duties
Maintain and develop a streamlined booking process
Produce reports and present at regular Trustee meetings
Liaise with and supervise the Caretaker/Maintenance staff
